For Windows 2000, should you experience any problems (Error 31), please download file pv8630.sys and replace the ones in the foldes "WinNTsystem32" and "WinNTsystem".
For Windows XP, manually exchange the standard scanner driver (WIA): open the Device Manager, double click on the scanner entry, in the Properties, tab "Driver", click "Update driver" and select "Software from a list...". Select "Do not search...", select the UMAX Driver: "USB Scanner". Ignore (!) the Warning that the driver has no Windows XP Logo certificate and continue with the installation. Restart Windows XP.
