Features of Picture Project:--Simple and Intuitive interface -PictureProject has three windows 'Organize, Edit and Design' to allow simple switching between different functions with a single click.--Quick and easy transfer of image files from a digital camera to a computer.--Original photo album - images saved in different locations can be arranged into collections to create digital photo albums.--Slide show - display several images with or without background music and with or without effects such as Slide, Cross Fade or Random applied.--Simple image editing - reduce red-eye or apply image brightness or hue compensation.--PictureProject updates via the Internet - PictureProject is equipped with an automatic update function known as Nikon Message Center. This can automatically check for and download updates when they are available.--PictureProject includes layout templates for printing and sending images via e-mail, uploading images to online photo albums, and publishing images to CD-ROM or DVD-ROM.

Improvements in Version 1.5.1: There are many features, improvements and fixes in version 1.5.1. All users of Picture Project are encouraged to upgrade to this version.

Important Notes:--Turn off all virus-scanning software before proceeding with installation of PictureProject.--Exit all applications that may be running before proceeding with installation of PictureProject.--When installing PictureProject under Windows 2000 or Windows XP, log on to the 'Administrators' (Windows 2000) or 'Computer administrator' (Windows XP).--To take advantage of all PictureProject functions, QuickTime version 6 or later must be installed. QuickTime may be downloaded free of charge from the Apple Computer web site.--Please observe caution when using PictureProject in combination with Nikon Capture. An error will occur when RAW images edited in PictureProject are later opened in Nikon Capture 3 version 3.5.2 or earlier, or Nikon Capture 4 version 4.0. If PictureProject and Nikon Capture will be used together, please upgrade Nikon Capture 3 to version 3.5.3 or Nikon Capture 4 to version 4.1 or later.--When installing PictureProject, the Nikon NEF Plug-in is also installed. The Nikon NEF Plug-in allows RAW images captured with Nikon digital cameras to be opened in 8-bit image data in Adobe Photoshop 6.0 or later. To open RAW images in 16-bit image data, please use Nikon Capture 4 version 4.1 or later.--Coolpix 880 and 990 image transfer are NOT supported by PictureProject, please use a CF Card reader.--If upgrading from Nikon View, note that PictureProject does not support the direct change of Color Balance and Exposure compensation.
